Tunisia CERT to Regulate Authority of Encryption Approvals with Indefinite Certificates Validity

CERT in Tunisia has released Governmental Decree No. 48 of 2020, dated January 23, 2020.  The Decree has two major impacts on the type approval process in Tunisia:

1. CERT will take over regulatory authority of Encryption Approvals, previously regulated by ANCE and issue a single certificate covering RF/Telecom and Encrpytion

2. CERT will be issuing certificates with indefinite validity (prior certificates were issued with 3 year validity periods)

For certificates that will expire, a new certificate will need to be obtained from CERT.  The new certificate will be issued with an indefinite validity period.
