The Ministry of Communication and Information Technology (MCIT), the regulatory authority for type approvals in Ethiopia, has merged with another government agency and will now be known as the Ministry of Innovation & Technology (MIT). MIT will be renamed in 6 months to 1 year and be known as the “Ethiopian Innovation Technology Ministry.” We will reconfirm when the renaming is finalized and officially announced in the proper gazette.
